Bass Guitar/Vocals

Mike started his incredible musical journey at the age of 13 when he was taught the chords to “House of the Rising Sun” by his cousin.  It has been nonstop ever since. In high school Mike started as a lead guitarist but no one else wanted to play bass, so he switched.  He became good enough that at the age of 16 he was playing in clubs that he was not old enough to actually be in and started his musical education. In his early 20’s Mike joined Ferty Creek Road Band which was an all out loud Southern Rock Band honing his skills on Allman Brothers, Outlaws and such. At this time he was singing very little because he was never asked to sing.  After 9 years in the FCRB he started branching out into other areas, top 40, country, dance and progressive rock, discovering that he actually had a decent singing voice and he has not shut his mouth since. In 1985 Mike co-Founded The Chase and that band stayed together for 15 years with several members coming and going. Gary and Tony were both one time members of The Chase. Mike also founded The Rigby’s, a regional Beatles band. Mike has been a member of some of the top bands in Louisville such as Caribou, The Tymes Band, The Rigby’s, Trick Nickle, Wayne Young’s Louisville Legends. He now performs with Lunar Beach House and CMN. Mike loves the music selection and vocals abilities that CMN puts forth.  His favorite color is red and he has an affinity for chocolate.

In over 36 years of performing Gary has performed multiple styles of music from heavy metal to country and everything in between. Gary’s musical resume includes bands such as Leather & Lace, Presence, Alibi, Four Wheel Drive, Say Uncle, In-Kahoots, King Kodd and The Rigby’s with whom he still performs with today. Gary has also done studio work, filled in for various bands and performed with Elvis Tribute Artists Danny Chevis and Duane Fortune. Gary also performed with fellow CMN Band mate, Mike Corley, in an Evenly Brothers Tribute. Being in CMN has given Gary the opportunity to perform the music he enjoys in an acoustic environment with longtime friends and Chase Alums Mike and Tony. Gary brings his great vocals, dynamic musicianship, versatility and his uncanny memory of songs to the trio. He still has a great deal of fun performing and getting to do it with longtime friends is a bonus. His favorite food is the buffet!

Special Musical Requests

Tony started his career in music as a drummer but quickly found that he enjoyed guitar much more. At an early age he was playing all the classic rock songs on electric guitar and then he discovered bluegrass music. With acoustic guitar in hand, Tony quickly became proficient as a flat picker and is one of the area’s best. Not being satisfied with guitar he ventured further and quickly learned banjo, mandolin, steel guitar and can actually scratch out a few tunes on fiddle. Tony has also been a member of some of the area’s best bands such as Santa Fe, Wilder Days, The MacDaddies, The Chase and The Holly Jackson Band. With longtime friends Gary and Mike he is continuing the music he enjoys playing. The variety is what keeps him interested and hopes the CMN success continues.
